A brief history of Texsun
Tom Crew, Texsun President, began the company in January of 1980 and incorporated in April of 1983. Tom has been in the trade since 1972 and worked for Sun Electric thru 1978. While at Sun Electric, he attended the Tarrant County Chapter IEC Apprenticeship Training first class.

At that time, the Vice President of Sun Electric left the company and began Gifford Electric. In August of 1978, Tom began working for Gifford and was Partner and the company Vice President. His work with Gifford eventually ended and Texsun Electrical Contractors, Inc. was formed with Tom as the founder and sole owner. In 2010, Tom promoted his long-time employee Doug Moulder to Vice President and made a stockholder and company partner, which insured that the company would continue to operate once Tom eventually retires.
