Summary of Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Vista Bank is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Lender/Assistant Banking Center Manager. A Lender/Assistant Banking Center Manager will serve as the face of Vista Bank (both inside and out) and perform lending duties and assist the Banking Center Manager in providing leadership to the bank through efficient daily operations in all areas of the banking center. A Lender/Assistant Banking Center Manager must have a good combination of analytical and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving industry. Looking for a natural leader who knows what it takes to help guide a team to success, values teamwork, transparency, and accountability. The position duties/responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead South Dallas Banking Center lending efforts (i.e. consumer, commercial, CRA, SBA, etc.)
  • Assist Banking Center Manager as needed and step-in and lead when Banking Center Manager is not present
  • Work with product committees to develop/implement loan and deposit products that service the needs/wants of the community, while protecting the strong ratings of Vista Bank
  • Assist, coordinate, and lead community development efforts for the bank (i.e. financial literacy workshops, seminars, business coaching, community events, volunteering, etc.)
  • Business development with SBA qualified clients/potential clients to build book of business that can potentially lead to SBA product/services bankwide
  • Collaborate with current CDFI, community/bank partners, and key leaders for banking center/market success and create new relationships for future opportunities
  • Originating and servicing loans and performing financial analysis to support loan decisions
  • Greeting customers and patrons by lobby, phone, or personal sales calls
  • Recording and retention of multiple files and documents
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable company policies and banking regulations
  • Works closely with the Banking Center Manager to fulfil the daily requirement needs of the banking center
  • Assists with talent acquisition/management; coach, mentor, and develop team to ensure operational effectiveness
  • Perform audits and inspections to manage and mitigate risk in accordance with bank policy and procedures
  • Maintain relationships with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Provides operational guidance and support to team members as outlined by the bank
  • Understands, communicates, and implements changes to policy and procedures to improve branch performance
  • Take ownership of issues and concerns, including working with other team members
  • Other duties as assigned; support and assist management and team as well as all South Dallas Banking Center objectives/needs as requested

This Position requires:

  • College education, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in SBA lending
  • Great critical thinking, personal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well with fellow employees and customers and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and great work ethic
  • Ability to use office equipment, including computers
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Clarity of corrected vision at 20 inches or less for normal duties; 20 inches or more for security purposes
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings except conservative ear piercings
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must meet minimum credit standards and pass a criminal background check
