Summary of Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Vista Bank is currently seeking an experienced candidate for a hybrid role as a Senior Relationship Banker/Junior Lending Assistant. This role serves as the face of Vista Bank and is often the most important public relations person. The position duties/responsibilities include:
- Greeting clients in person or phone
- Processing customer (commercial and consumer) deposits/ withdrawals
- Maintaining and consistently balancing all incoming/ outgoing currency
- Processing all transactions to our operations center on a daily basis
- Opening new commercial and consumer deposit accounts
- Processing wire transfers
- Debit card set up
- Assist in resolving customers daily NSF matters
- Commercial and consumer account maintenance
- Assist with Treasury Management onboarding and ongoing servicing/maintenance
- Ordering real estate appraisals and environmental due diligence
- Pulling flood determinations and credit reports
- Process commercial loan fundings at loan closing
- Process draw requests on line of credits, commercial loans and real estate construction loan files
- Prepare and maintain files, databases, records
- Process documents received for each loan file
- Help verify the accuracy and completeness of each document for lenders
- Track documents for loan files such as hazard insurance, flood insurance, vehicle titles, UCC
- filings/financial statements
- Assist customer and lender on the closing of loans
- Act as a secondary contact for the closing of loans with title companies
- Assist customers with general loan related questions
- Assist the lender with collateral and financial exception report
- Product knowledge for effective cross selling
- Recording and retention of multiple files and documents
- Developing relationships with our customers through outstanding customer service
- Ensures compliance with all applicable company policies and banking regulations
- Other duties as assigned
This Position requires:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
- 3-4 years banking experience and 1 year lending assistant experience (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience in opening commercial and consumer deposit accounts
- (preferred), printing debit cards and scanning documents
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work with detailed information in an efficient and accurate manner, while meeting
- established deadlines
- Ability to work well with fellow employees and customers
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and great work ethic
- Great analytical, logical, and reasoning skills
- Ability to use office equipment, including computers
- Ability to speak and hear
- Clarity of corrected vision at 20 inches or less for normal duties
- Clarity of corrected vision at 20 inches or more for security purposes
- No visible tattoos or body piercings except conservative ear piercings
- Reliable transportation
- Must meet minimum credit standards and pass a criminal background check
