DALLAS, TX (April 28, 2025) –
Vista Bank, one of N. Texas’ top-ranked Dallas-headquartered commercial banks, is proud to announce its continued sponsorship of the Military Outpost at the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson PGA Tour event at the TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. As the PGA Tour returns to North Texas, this premier tournament promises an exhilarating showcase of world-class golf, with defending champion Taylor Pendrith joined by top players like World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and local favorite Jordan Spieth, bringing heightened excitement to the event.
Situated at the tee box of the seventh hole from May 1st – 4th, the Military Outpost offers a dedicated viewing area with covered and outdoor seating, exclusively for active-duty military, veterans, and their families. Complimentary tickets provide access to this special area, where guests can enjoy light refreshments and beverages while taking in the thrilling action of the tournament.
“As the son of a military veteran, I’ve witnessed firsthand the dedication and sacrifice of our service members and their families,” said John D. Steinmetz, President and CEO of Vista Bank. “Sponsoring the Military Outpost is a privilege, allowing Vista to honor these heroes and their loved ones while fostering community at one of the PGA Tour’s most impactful charitable events.”
“As a U.S. Army veteran, I deeply value the opportunity to connect with fellow service members at the Military Outpost,” said Bill Davis, CEO of Dexter & Company and a member of Vista Bank’s Board of Directors. “Vista Bank’s commitment to this initiative reflects our shared mission to support those who have served, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to TPC Craig Ranch for an unforgettable experience.”
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to John Steinmetz, Bill Davis, and Vista Bank for their unwavering support of the Military Outpost and veteran-focused initiatives,” said John Wayne Walding, a decorated U.S. Army veteran and co-founder of Live to Give and Gallantry Global Logistics, both Vista Bank clients. “Their partnership empowers us to honor our military community and provide meaningful opportunities for veterans transitioning to civilian life.” Walding, whose extraordinary valor in the Battle of Shok Valley is chronicled in “No Way Out: A Story of Valor in the Mountains of Afghanistan,” continues to champion veteran causes through his businesses, which donate fifty percent of net profits to support service members and provide career pathways for veterans.
The 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson, a cornerstone of the PGA Tour’s charitable efforts, has raised over $190 million for the Momentous Institute, supporting mental health programs for children, families, and communities. With a redesigned TPC Craig Ranch course undergoing a $15 million renovation led by Lanny Wadkins, this year’s tournament is set to deliver a challenging and exciting competition, further elevating its status as a premier PGA Tour stop.
