Information Security Analyst 

Information Security Analyst Job Description:

As Vista Bank’s Information Security Analyst, you will help plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor the security and protection of our customers’ confidential information in our computers, networks, and cloud services. The role participates in data governance by assisting in managing availability, identity and access management, and information security programs in our production and disaster recovery environments. This person develops custom reports and creates queries to pull data from various sources and works with fellow employees to define their reporting needs. Leads in house penetration testing to evaluate and report on security vulnerabilities. Finally, the analyst will safeguard security by facilitating training of users and promoting security awareness.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or GED; some college, military, and/or IT certification preferred (SSCP, CCNA, SEC+, etc.)
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience with modern computer technologies
• Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of security software applications
• General understanding of computer-related security systems including firewalls, encryption, and authentication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, database report writing software
• Cross Platform Data Manipulation
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
• Occasional lifting to 40 pounds
• Sitting, typing, and computer monitor viewing for extended periods up to 8 hours
• Preferred Experience: Banking software and core platforms
• Preferred Experience: Intrusion detection systems and/or monitoring software
• Preferred Experience: Working knowledge of SQL or other database report writing
• Preferred Experience: Microsoft Server, Active Directory
