This position functions within the Information Technology department and under supervision of the Information Technology Administrator or delegated staff. The Information Technology Specialist performs basic level work in a directed and/or self-directed environment with focus on internal customers.

Summary of Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Vista Bank is seeking a qualified person for an Information Technology Specialist position for our Information Technology Services team. As an Information Technology Specialist, reporting to the Information Technology Administration Manager, you will provide support for deployment and maintenance of Vista Banks system hardware, operating systems, and applications, focusing on internal customer support and endpoints within the environment. Provide organization-wide service request management, service request escalation and day-to-day technical support. Provide analysis and resolution planning for detected issues and seek appropriate resolution to meet the goals of the department or organization. Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to system maintenance and operations. Responsible for complying with and enforcing Vista Banks Security Policy and other policies. This position is 100% in person with opportunities to travel from time to time. Duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets for internal customers
  • Maintain good notes and excellent customer communication while diligently updating ticketing system
  • Under Information Technology staff guidance, perform computer imaging, staging and installation
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users
  • Maintain network and system security
  • Analyze and isolate issues
  • Monitor networks to ensure availability to users
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to optimize systems performance
  • Identify user technical needs
  • Administer desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment
  • New user set up / removal of terminated users / Process Review
  • Working closely with Information Technology Officers and contracted Information Technology support vendor
  • Troubleshooting issues through contact with vendors as needed
  • Telecommunication provisioning and troubleshooting
  • Traveling to bank branches as needed
  • Participating in implementation projects
  • Other duties as assigned

This Position requires:

  • High school diploma or GED; some college, military, or technical training preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Information Technology or banking related fields
  • Good working knowledge and experience with basic network infrastructure components, such as switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Excellent troubleshooting proficiency and customer service
  • Strong planning, reporting, and organizational skills
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • May require working nights and weekends
  • Must meet minimum credit standards and pass a criminal background check
